On an entertaining cycle tour along the Isar, from the English Garden to the rafting area, we learn interesting facts about its history and its role in the life of Munich. Around 1900, 8,000 rafts landed in the state capital every year on their way from Italy via Munich to Vienna – and what requirements did the brave men have to meet to become raftsmen? “They were not allowed to be able to swim”.
On the IsarTour by bike, we also take a closer look at the “renaturation” project, which is unique in Europe.
